Home visits
A Local Technician, Not a Repair Shop
A washing machine is plumbed in, heavy and often boxed into a cupboard. Carrying it to a workshop makes no sense, and nor does waiting a week without clean clothes. So our technician comes to you, tests the machine in place and fixes it there.
Our vans carry the parts that fail most often, such as drain pumps, door locks and inlet valves. That is why most washer repairs are finished in one visit. If a part has to be ordered, we confirm the price in writing and book your return visit before we leave.

Sydney suburbs we service
Washing Machine and Fridge Repairs in Your Part of Sydney
We cover six regions of Greater Sydney every working day. Find your area below. If your suburb isn’t listed, call 0452 687 383; there’s a good chance a technician is already nearby.

Parramatta & Western Sydney
Parramatta
Westmead
Merrylands
Granville
Blacktown
Seven Hills
Mount Druitt
St Marys
Penrith
This region runs from apartment towers around Parramatta and Westmead to family homes on bigger blocks out towards Penrith. Apartment laundries are often a cupboard with a stacked or slimline front loader, where a slow drain or a leak can quickly reach the floor below. In larger households, the washer runs most days, so worn suspension, tired bearings and drain pumps clogged with lint are regular jobs.
Booking tip: If you live in an apartment block, tell us about visitor parking or a loading zone so the technician arrives ready.
The Hills District
Castle Hill
Baulkham Hills
Bella Vista
Kellyville
Rouse Hill
Carlingford
Cherrybrook
Many Hills homes have a large-capacity front loader doing heavy family loads of school uniforms, sports gear and bedding. Heavy loads put strain on the door lock, the drum bearings and the suspension. A machine that bangs on spin or stops with an error code mid-cycle is the call we hear most here. In newer estates, laundries are roomy, so most repairs are done in place without moving the machine far.
Inner West
Strathfield
Burwood
Ashfield
Five Dock
Leichhardt
Marrickville
Older terraces and semis in suburbs like Leichhardt and Marrickville often have a small laundry at the back of the house or inside the bathroom. The washer is usually squeezed between a wall and a tub, which makes leaks hard to spot until the floor is wet. We bring the right gear to slide a machine out in a tight space and back in without scratching tiles or floorboards.
Booking tip: Street parking can be tight. Let us know if there’s rear lane access or a driveway we can use.
North Shore & Ryde
Chatswood
Lane Cove
Ryde
West Ryde
Epping
Macquarie Park
Hornsby
Apartment living is common around Chatswood, Epping and Macquarie Park, and so are washer-dryer combos and compact front loaders. These machines are built into tight spaces, and a fault in the dryer side or a door that won’t release needs a technician who knows the combo layout. Further north around Hornsby, we see more full-size machines in standalone laundries.
Booking tip: Strata buildings sometimes need a lift booking or a building manager’s approval. Mention it when you call and we’ll plan the visit around it.
South West Sydney
Liverpool
Fairfield
Bankstown
Prestons
Campbelltown
Many South West households are large, and the washing machine works hard every day. Top loaders and big front loaders are both common. Constant use wears out drive parts, agitator or drum components and the drain pump faster than in a small household. A worn part caught early is usually a simple fix; left too long, it can damage the drum or the motor.
Eastern Suburbs & CBD
Bondi
Randwick
Coogee
Paddington
Surry Hills
Sydney CBD
From Bondi and Coogee unit blocks to Paddington and Surry Hills terraces, laundries here are small and often shared with the kitchen or bathroom. Compact front loaders and washer-dryers are the norm. Lift access, building rules and limited parking are part of most visits, so we ask about them when you book.
Booking tip: In CBD buildings, let us know about loading docks, security sign-in or time limits for trades.
The service is the same in every suburb we cover: a technician at your door, a written quote before work starts and a 12-month warranty on the repair.

Common Washing Machine Faults We Fix Across Sydney
Most washer breakdowns come down to a small group of parts. Here’s what the symptom usually means and what to expect from the visit.
| What the washer is doing | Likely cause | Usually fixed on the first visit? |
|---|---|---|
| Won’t drain, water left in the drum | Blocked pump filter, failed drain pump or kinked hose | Yes, in most cases |
| Won’t spin or spins slowly | Out-of-balance load, worn motor brushes, drive belt or control fault | Often; some parts need ordering |
| Door locked and won’t open | Faulty door lock, or water still in the drum | Yes, in most cases |
| Won’t fill or fills slowly | Faulty inlet valve, blocked inlet screen or tap turned off | Yes, in most cases |
| Leaking onto the floor | Torn door boot seal, loose hose or cracked pump housing | Usually |
| Banging or walking on spin | Worn suspension or shock absorbers, or the machine isn’t level | Usually |
| Loud rumbling or grinding | Worn drum bearings | Depends on model and age; we quote before any work |
| Error code on the display | Depends on brand and code; we read it on the spot | Depends on the fault |

Before you call
Five Checks Before You Book a Washing Machine Repair
These take a few minutes and sometimes save you a call-out.
- Each check takes only a few minutes
- Could save you a call-out fee
- Not sure? Call and we’ll talk it through
Safety first: always switch the machine off at the wall before you start.
- Check both taps are fully on. A half-closed tap is a common reason a washer fills slowly or shows a water supply error.
- Clean the drain pump filter. On most front loaders it sits behind a small panel at the bottom front. Put a towel and a shallow tray down first, because water will come out.
- Look at the drain hose. Make sure it isn’t kinked or pushed too far into the standpipe.
- Check the child lock and the door. A child lock or a door that isn’t fully shut will stop many machines from starting.
- Rebalance the load. One heavy item, like a bath mat or a doona, can stop the spin. Spread the load evenly and try a spin-only cycle.
Still not working? Note any error code, take a photo of it and call us with the brand and model number.

Repair or replace
Repair or Replace Your Washing Machine?
For most machines under about seven years old, repairing makes sense.
Weigh the cost of the part
Drain pumps, door locks and inlet valves are affordable parts. Worn drum bearings on an older machine are different: on some models, that repair costs close to a new washer. Our technician will tell you plainly which way the numbers fall before any work goes ahead.
Check your warranty first
If your machine is only a few years old, check the manufacturer’s warranty first. Under the Australian Consumer Law, an appliance must also last a reasonable time for what you paid, even after the warranty ends.
Fridge repairs and rental properties
Fridge Repairs and Rental Laundries, Same Suburbs, Same Standard

Fridge and freezer repairs near you
We also repair household fridges and freezers in every suburb listed above. A fridge that stops cooling can spoil a week’s shopping in hours, so we treat it as urgent and aim to reach you the same day. Common jobs include failed fans, defrost faults, faulty thermostats and sensors, worn door seals and ice maker problems. Sealed-system work, such as a leak repair and regas, is done under our ARC refrigerant handling licence.
We repair French door, side-by-side, top and bottom mount, integrated and bar fridges, plus upright and chest freezers, from brands including Samsung, LG, Electrolux, Whirlpool, Maytag and GE. More about our fridge repairs.

Washing machine repairs for rental properties
In NSW, the breakdown of an essential laundry service provided by the landlord counts as an urgent repair. So does a water-using appliance that is broken and wasting a lot of water, such as a leaking washer (NSW Government).
We make rental repairs simple for everyone involved:
- Property managers and landlords: we arrange access with the tenant, send photos and a written quote for approval, and invoice the agency directly.
- Tenants: tell your agent you’d like Quality Appliance Repairs, or ask them to call us. We’ll book a time that suits you.
How booking works
How to Book a Technician in Your Suburb

1
Tell us your suburb and the problem
Call 0452 687 383 or book online. Give us the brand, the model number and what the machine is doing. A photo of any error code helps.
2
Tell us about access
Apartment, lift, loading zone, tight laundry or rear lane? Let us know, and the technician arrives ready.
3
Pick a time
Choose a day and time that suits you. We text you when the technician is on the way, so you’re not stuck waiting at home.
4
Diagnosis and written quote
The technician tests the machine where it sits, explains the fault in plain English and gives you the price in writing. There’s no obligation to go ahead.
5
Repair, test and warranty
Once you approve, we fix it, run a full test cycle and do an electrical safety test. You pay by EFTPOS, cash, bank transfer or PayID, and your invoice carries the 12-month warranty.
Where’s the model number? On a washing machine, look around the door opening or on the back panel. On a fridge, check inside on a side wall or behind the crisper drawers.

FAQ
Service Area FAQs
Can’t find what you’re looking for? Give us a call and we’ll help you work out what’s wrong.
Which Sydney suburbs do you cover for washing machine repairs?
We cover Greater Sydney across six regions: Parramatta and Western Sydney, the Hills District, the Inner West, the North Shore and Ryde, South West Sydney, and the Eastern Suburbs and CBD. That runs from Penrith in the west to Bondi in the east, and from Hornsby in the north to Campbelltown in the south.
My suburb isn’t on your list. Can you still come?
Very likely, yes. The list shows the suburbs we visit most, not every one we cover. Call 0452 687 383 with your suburb and we’ll tell you straight away.
How soon can a technician get to my suburb?
We often reach you the same day, especially if you call in the morning. If we can’t, we’ll book the next available time and text you when the technician is on the way.
What hours do you work?
Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm, and Saturday 9am to 12pm. You can book online at any time, and we’ll call you back to confirm.
Can you repair a washing machine in a small apartment laundry?
Yes. Many Sydney apartments have the washer in a cupboard or stacked under a dryer. Our technicians work in tight spaces every week and protect your floor while they do it. Let us know about lift access or parking when you book.
Do you repair washer-dryer combos?
Yes. We repair front loaders, top loaders and washer-dryer combos from all major brands sold in Australia, including Samsung, LG, Bosch, Electrolux and Simpson.
My washing machine is leaking. What should I do before you arrive?
Turn off the power at the wall and turn off both taps behind the machine. Mop up the water and don’t run another cycle. If water is reaching a neighbour’s ceiling in an apartment, let your building manager know too.
Do I need to be home during the repair?
Someone needs to let the technician in and approve the written quote. In a rental, your property manager can approve the quote instead, as long as someone can give us access.
Can my property manager book a washing machine repair for my rental?
Yes. We arrange access with the tenant, send photos and a written quote to the agency for approval, and invoice the agency directly.
Do you repair commercial washing machines or fridges?
No. We repair household washing machines and fridges only, in homes, apartments and rental properties.
Do you repair fridges in the same suburbs?
Yes. Every suburb we cover for washing machines, we also cover for fridge and freezer repairs, with the same written quote and 12-month warranty.
